Pride of Britain is a fantastic way of celebrating the nation’s unsung heroes who make a difference to the lives of others.
It gives us a snapshot of the ordinary people doing extraordinary things to help their communities thrive, and it shows us the power of working in partnership.
I have found it truly humbling to hear so many stories of bravery, courage and kindness, which are both awe-inspiring and heartwarming.
These are the people who help make Britain great. As a proud partner of Pride of Britain and Pride of Sport alongside Trinity Mirror, we want to shine a light on these ordinary people doing extraordinary things in local communities across Britain.
That’s why we created the TSB Community Partner Award, which recognises just how much can be achieved by working in partnership.
Partnerships are something we’re passionate about, and our partnership with Pride of Britain and Pride of Sport fits perfectly with what we’ve set out to do at TSB.
It all stems from local people helping local people and we share the same vision to help support and celebrate local communities right across Britain.
We were delighted to be part of the judging panel for this year’s awards, and I know it’s been a tough job!
The huge number of incredible stories we received was overwhelming, so thank you to everyone who visited our TSB branches or went online to make their nominations.
The response to our partnership with Pride of Britain and Pride of Sport has been phenomenal throughout TSB, and our own TSB Partners and Local Charity Partners are really excited to be involved.
This year marks a fantastic start to a long-term partnership that we’ll build on in the years to come.
